Preaching the Grace of God - From the King James Bible
Dispensationally Delivered

In previous lessons we have discussed how Satan, from the very beginning, has attempted to throw doubt
on the Word of God. This attack began back in the Garden of Eden! In discussing God’s original
instructions to Adam and Eve he immediately works to throw doubt on the Word of God.
As a result of another study I was beginning to work on I have discovered that the tampering is not
limited to the modern versions. Though Satan hasn’t been able to touch the KJV as far as its content
is concerned he has made attempts to supress the correct studying of the KJV by allowing the references
to it to be messed up.
Obviously not all concordances are the same. However if the one in my bible is any indication,
then many, if not most, concordances are developed to promote a particular view of the scriptures rather
than providing accurate localizing of texts.
A search on “mystery” (or Mysteries)
Note that in the list below the verses in black were included in the concordance, the red verses were
omitted from the concordance. This concordance was in the back of my Cambridge Reference
Bible.
Mt 13:11 – The mysteries of the kingdom are to be given only to the inner-circle.
Mk 4:11
Lk
8:10
Rom 11:25 – We are not to be ignorant of the mystery …
Rom 16:25-26 – The revelation
of the mystery
1 Cor 2:7 – “We” speak the mystery … the “We” meaning the leaders?
1 Cor 4:1
1 Cor 13:2
1 Cor 14:2
1 Cor 15:51
Eph 1:9
Eph 3:3-4
Eph 3:9-10
Eph 5:32
Eph 6:19
Col 1:26-27
Col 2:2
Col 4:3
2 Ths 2:7
1 Tim 3:9
1 Tim 3:16
Rev 1:20
Rev 10:7
Rev 17:5-7
Notes
Eph 6:19 – note that a bunch of references to us being able to understand the mystery are left
out of the concordance – but this one is referenced. Leads us to think only an apostle can understand
the mysteries of God.
Eph 1:26-27 – See how this is worded – made manifest to his saints. The omissions here
are slanted by viewpoints espoused by the leaders of the worlds religious systems.
The english word “mystery” or “mysteries” appear nowhere in the OT.
Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein
day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou
shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
A popular verse that can confuse. On the one hand it indicates that you need to do according
to all that is written within – and that meditation day and night is profitable. On the
other hand, Christians often are taught that this verse means that we are to do all that is written within
the covers of the book but are never told to “rightly divide”.
