Have You Received?

Part 2 of 3

3 times in the Pauline Epistles (books or letters that Paul wrote under inspiration) we read of spirits to be received and some that should not be received. The second one is found here: 1 Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which spirit do you have? The spirit of the world or the Spirit of God. How would you know the difference? Do you know the difference. The spirit of the world cares nothing for the truth of the Word of God. On the other hand the Spirit of God is the revealer of truth, please notice: 1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. This is a quote from the Old Testament but look at the very next verse: 1 Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
