What Profit Is There In The Bible?

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1. For doctrine – doctrine is the teachings from the Bible. The Word of God has some things it wants to teach you. We are living in a time when bible doctrine is being set aside in favor of tradition and religion. But remember Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

2. For reproof – This has to do with your behavior. The Word of God will build godly character in His people. Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, ... and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

3. For correction – This has to do with your thinking process. The Word of God will change how you think about things. You will begin to have a godly viewpoint. 1 Cor 2:16 ... But we have the mind of Christ.

The Word of God is profitable above all things!
